These Terms explain, in plain language, what you can expect when you use LineSafe and, if you choose to, purchase a LineSafe Full license. They are written to be understandable rather than exhaustive, and they are not a substitute for advice from a lawyer in your own jurisdiction — see Not legal advice below.

- LineSafe Full is a one-time purchase (currently US$49) that unlocks unlimited longitudinal profiles and professional exports for LineSafe 1.x.
- A LineSafe Full license is permanent for LineSafe 1.x — it does not automatically include a future major version (for example, a possible LineSafe 2.x).
- The license is issued to and for use by the customer named on it; license files are not for resale or redistribution.
- LineSafe is an engineering utility, not a substitute for your own professional judgement — you remain responsible for verifying its outputs.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing or using LineSafe, or by purchasing a LineSafe Full license, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use LineSafe or purchase a license.
2. The LineSafe license
LineSafe is offered in two states:
- Demo — free to use, with unlimited project creation, survey entry and calculations, Excel import, appearance themes, and a limited number of longitudinal profile generations, as described on the Pricing page. Professional exports (Excel, PDF, AutoCAD DXF) are not available in Demo.
- LineSafe Full — unlocked by a one-time purchase and activated in the app using a signed license file. LineSafe Full removes the longitudinal profile generation limit and unlocks Excel, PDF and AutoCAD DXF export.
A LineSafe Full license is a permanent, one-time license for LineSafe 1.x (version 1.0 through the end of the 1.x line). It does not promise lifetime access to every future major version of LineSafe — a future major version (for example, a possible LineSafe 2.x) may be offered as a separate, additional purchase. There is no subscription and no recurring charge for continued use of the LineSafe 1.x version you licensed.
3. Who the license is for
A LineSafe Full license is issued for use by the customer named in that license (the purchaser, or the organisation on whose behalf the purchase was made). It is intended for that customer's own use and is not a license for the general public or for unrelated third parties.
4. No transfer of ownership
Purchasing a LineSafe Full license does not transfer ownership of the LineSafe application, its source code, or any underlying intellectual property to you. You receive a license to use the software as described here — the software itself remains the property of its developer.
5. No redistribution or resale of license files
Your issued license file is for your own use. You may not sell, resell, rent, sublicense, redistribute or otherwise transfer your license file, or copies of it, to anyone else.
6. Compatibility
LineSafe exports files in common formats — Excel (.xlsx), PDF, and AutoCAD DXF — intended to open correctly in widely used, reasonably current software. We do not guarantee that every exported file will be fully compatible with every version, edition or configuration of every third-party CAD or spreadsheet program, now or in the future. If you encounter a specific compatibility problem, please contact support.
7. Your responsibility for engineering and survey outputs
LineSafe is a drafting and calculation aid, not a substitute for professional engineering judgement. You, as the user, remain responsible for independently checking and verifying any survey data, calculated levels, longitudinal profile, or exported deliverable before relying on it for construction, fieldwork, approvals, or any other professional purpose. Always apply your own professional standards, local codes and site conditions, and have outputs reviewed by a qualified person where your work requires it.
8. No warranty
LineSafe is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that LineSafe will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for every particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any consumer protection or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited in your jurisdiction.
9. Not legal advice
These Terms are a plain-language description of how LineSafe is licensed and used. They are not jurisdiction-specific legal advice, and they do not account for every law that may apply to you or your business. If you need legal advice about these Terms or your use of LineSafe, please consult a qualified lawyer in your own jurisdiction.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as LineSafe changes — for example, once online checkout becomes active, or if a future major version is offered separately. Any update will be published on this page with a new effective date.
